Macbeth - Show Design

This production of Macbeth called for a design approach that embraced the play’s horror and chaos, drawing on the idea of the three weird sisters being the puppet masters of the play. I created a visual system that brought tension and unease to life. Using UV light as a central element, neon green on black-and-white provided a stark, eerie palette. Scanned and digitally altered hands added texture and a horror edge, while a custom sharp-serif typographic logo introduced unexpected tension into compositions. Motion blur and repetition emphasized the characters’ descent into madness, culminating in a poster using the idea of a “Crown of Madness”, featuring the sisters’ hands in a haunting arrangement. These designs were tailored for digital touchpoints, creating a dynamic and unsettling visual experience that echoed the play’s intensity
